Job summary

Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust is seeking a Commercial Banking Administrator to support Commercial Banking Executives in originating new loans and managing credit portfolios. The role entails handling loan data, documents, and customer communication to support C&I, CRE, and investor real estate lending portfolios.

The position requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, strong customer service skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience required.
• Two years loan documentation experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office experience including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Enter and complete loan data and prepare loan documents.
• Assemble and verify accuracy of loan documents using a checklist.
• Ensure loan files contain applicable forms, signatures, dates and information using a checklist.
• Disburse loan proceeds before sending to Loan Processing; prepare payoffs and cut checks for attorneys, appraisers, etc.
• Process loan wires through the wire system.
• Scan/Index loan items into loan files.
• Forward original loan documents for storage in collateral vault.
• Submit loan files to Loan Processing per guidelines.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Loan Officer, schedule appointments, answer inquiries; relay messages.
• Perform clerical duties including filing, faxing, photocopying and word processing.
• Prepare letters and forms used in Loan Department.
• Contact customers and partners to obtain necessary information; resolve issues promptly.
• Review status of pending loans and follow up for timely completion.
• Review tracking reports with Loan Processing to resolve errors per policy.
