Job summary

SouthState invites new graduates to join a Commercial Banking Associate Program. The six‑month onsite training in Tampa, FL launches your banking career, followed by placement in your local market to apply underwriting, loan processing, and portfolio management skills.

You’ll collaborate with commercial banking staff and sales partners to develop client relationships and pursue new business opportunities, gaining exposure to lines of business and treasury services along the way.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed within the last 2 years with a minimum GPA of 3.4.
• Previous internship experience in finance, banking, or related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Support credit and underwriting activities including analyzing financial statements and credit reports.
• Assist in loan origination, processing, and portfolio management while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Develop relationships with Retail, Small Business Banking, and Commercial clients to identify opportunities.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and learn treasury services and cash management.
• Attend training sessions to build product knowledge and sales capabilities.
