You are customer focused, passionate about working with and supporting foreign-owned, technology companies in the Innovation Economy, enjoy building relationships and bringing in new clients. A role as a Commercial Banker is for you.

As a Commercial Banker on the Multinational Corporations (MNC) Global Passport Banking, Middle Market Banking team, you will focus on business development and play a pivotal role in expanding our presence within the foreign-owned innovation economy. A history of business development experience and a strong network in the technology/startup ecosystem is key for this role.

The MNC Global Passport Banking team is part of J.P. Morgan's Commercial Bank in its Middle Market Banking and Specialized Industries group. In this role, you will be a creative and strategic thinker to build community and brand awareness in the local market including driving the prospecting strategy, client acquisition, channel partner management, and strong collaboration with the local Bankers in your market. We work both independently and as part of a dynamic team to deliver the entire firm to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

1. Drive top line revenues while maximizing efficiency for the business, with a keen eye towards risk mitigation and compliance.
2. Serve as mentor and coach to the banking team and lead the region's prospecting activities. This may include cross-selling of existing clients when appropriate.
3. Plan and host networking and content-focused events with key centers of influence in the local market.
4. Lead the new business origination strategy for the local market in close coordination with local market executives and the venture capital coverage team.
5. Identify top technology companies in the Innovation Economy and connect with their key executives (Founders, CFO, VP of Finance, etc.).
6. Utilize data-driven insights to prioritize prospects and tailor customized outreach strategies.
7. Build a channel partnership pipeline with success and market share tracking, working with the Startup Banking team to build a standardized approach for measurement and evaluation.
8. Leverage COI relationships to enhance outreach efforts and drive new client acquisition.
9. Execute a strategic events strategy focused on building new connections and enhancing the JPMorgan brand in your market.
10. Keep a pulse on market trends and emerging technologies, with a focus on ecosystem and network growth in the territory assigned.
11. Partner closely with Banking, Credit, Treasury and Service partners, as well as Asset Management, Private Bank and Investment Bank colleagues, to introduce our prospects to our broad product capabilities.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

1. 5+ years of business development, commercial banking, or other relevant sales experience in the technology ecosystem.
2. Proven track record of sourcing and navigating complex sales opportunities, ideally in commercial banking, venture debt, venture capital, or other technology-related services.
3. Ability to build community and brand awareness in a dynamic market.
4. History of planning and executing an events and content strategy.
5. Utilize seasoned judgment to offer comprehensive and customized solutions that best meet potential client needs.
6. Monitor and research market/industry trends and business outcomes to present relevant and insightful solutions to potential clients.

1. Ability to leverage your network, market knowledge, and startup experience to deliver a top-notch client and partner experience.
2. A deep understanding of JPMorgan Commercial Banking products and services.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with our Bankers, Treasury Management Officers, and other key product partners.
4. Capable of operating independently and possesses excellent partnership, communication, and marketing skills.
