Job summary

New Horizon Insurance Company is seeking an experienced claims adjuster to handle commercial auto Bodily Injury claims in a fast-paced environment. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish abilities, active licenses, and the ability to multitask while documenting decisions clearly.

Responsibilities include ensuring timely contact with involved parties, evaluating coverage and liability, and coordinating inspections and repairs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience handling commercial auto bodily injury claims.
• Licenses: Texas All Lines Adjuster License required on hire; California Adjusters license within 90 days.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication; documentation of basis for decisions.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Courteous and professional telephone communications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Alert supervisor of potential fraud or recovery escalation on the claim.
• Support quality customer service and accurate claim handling.

Job description

• Establish timely contact with all applicable parties to a claim (insureds, drivers, witnesses, etc.), gather facts of the loss and clearly explain the claims process


• Assess coverage, identifying and addressing potential coverage issues


• Determine liability and document the claim file with details of the claim investigation


• Communicate to applicable parties the rationale behind coverage or liability decision


• Document information obtained regarding damages and resolve within assigned authority limits


• Manage the assignment of claim to material damage for inspection and repairs


• Maintain files notes and correspondence while performing multiple task associated with a fast-paced environment


• Alert claims supervisor in the event of potential fraud, recovery escalation on the claim

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in handling commercial auto bodily injury claims - preferred


• Texas All Lines Adjuster License - required upon hire


• California Adjusters license – required within 90 days of hire


• Bilingual in English and Spanish – requiered
