Job summary

New Horizon Insurance Company is seeking a Commercial Auto Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster in Texas to establish timely contact with insureds, drivers and witnesses, gather facts, and clearly explain the claims process. You will assess coverage, determine liability, document the file with investigation details, and communicate the rationale behind decisions to all parties.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is required; licenses Texas All Lines Adjuster and California license within 90 days are

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience handling commercial auto bodily injury claims
• Texas All Lines Adjuster License required on hire
• California Adjuster license required within 90 days of hire
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization and time-management abilities
• Professional telephone and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Establish timely contact with all applicable parties to a claim (insureds, drivers, witnesses) and gather facts
• Assess coverage and identify potential coverage issues
• Determine liability and document the claim file with investigation details
• Communicate the rationale behind coverage or liability decisions to applicable parties
• Document damages information and resolve within authority limits
• Manage assignment of claims to material damage for inspection and repairs
• Maintain files, notes and correspondence while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Alert supervisor in case of potential fraud or recovery escalation

• Establish timely contact with all applicable parties to a claim (insureds, drivers, witnesses, etc.), gather facts of the loss and clearly explain the claims process
• Assess coverage, identifying and addressing potential coverage issues
• Determine liability and document the claim file with details of the claim investigation
• Communicate to applicable parties the rationale behind coverage or liability decision
• Document information obtained regarding damages and resolve within assigned authority limits
• Manage the assignment of claim to material damage for inspection and repairs
• Maintain files notes and correspondence while performing multiple task associated with a fast-paced environment
• Alert claims supervisor in the event of potential fraud, recovery escalation on the claim

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in handling commercial auto bodily injury claims - preferred
• Texas All Lines Adjuster License - required upon hire
• California Adjusters license – required within 90 days of hire
• Bilingual in English and Spanish – required
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills and ability to clearly document and communicate the basis for decisions made
• Excellent written skill that demonstrate clear, profession and succinct communication for file documentation, internal communications and external correspondence
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Courteous and professional telephone communications
• Ability to work in a team environment
