The Team Lead recruits, onboard, mentors, and develops Commercial Analysts while managing a limited portfolio of client and credit-related activities to maintain technical expertise and model best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial middle market banking experience (credit structuring & analysis, sales, risk assessment).
• Minimum 3 years of leadership, supervisory, coaching, or team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lending products, credit risk assessment, and underwriting principles.
• Knowledge of commercial loan and deposit documentation.
• Experience working with complex commercial credit structures and transactions.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Commercial Analysts to support individual growth, technical proficiency, and career progression.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train Commercial Analysts to ensure successful integration and ongoing development.
• Identify high-potential talent and support succession planning through coaching and mentoring.
• Provide direction and drive accountability for Analyst performance and workflow management.
• Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day Analyst responsibilities and system issues.
• Monitor team workload and resource allocation to ensure coverage and development opportunities.
• Review and provide feedback on work product including financial analysis and client deliverables.
• Manage a limited portfolio of commercial banking relationships and credit activities.
• Partner with Commercial Leaders and Relationship Managers on in-market sales strategy and support.
• Provide guidance on complex credit structures and financial analysis.
• Ensure adherence to established credit, underwriting, risk, and operational procedures.
