Job summary

Alter Domus in New York offers a sales-focused apprenticeship programme for recent graduates to learn how origination and the sales process operate end to end, from first contact to signature. You will sit with senior sales partners, research accounts, and contribute to campaigns and proposals.

The eight-week foundational training covers fund structures, NAV, capital calls and asset mechanics, progressing to live client conversations and end-to-end campaign support with formal reviews

Qualifications

• A recent graduate or someone early in their career — prior experience in a related role is beneficial.
• Competency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels of the company and externally.
• Curiosity about financial markets, especially private capital.

Responsibilities

• Produce written account briefs on prospective clients including fund family, history and assets under management.
• Support creation of packs for live opportunities prior to meetings and RFP responses.
• Monitor market data sources (Preqin, PitchBook, With Intelligence, SEC filings) to identify new launches and mandates.
• Track trends in coverage area and contribute quarterly written viewpoints to the commercial team.
