Job summary

Condé Nast in New York is seeking a Commerce Market Editor to write, edit, and optimize affiliate editorial content for its digital commerce. The role centers on design-driven storytelling, curating a shoppable product mix, and delivering timely service-driven stories across AD’s channels.

The editor will lead product selection, pitch commissions, and collaborate with freelancers while leveraging data to boost commerce KPIs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience with a related brand(s) or media publisher.
• Impeccable editorial judgment, writing, and ability to capture AD’s voice.
• Ability to work independently, quickly, and stay organized.
• Strong understanding of purchasing data, consumer trends, and competitive analysis.
• Familiarity with affiliate link programs such as Skimlinks and Amazon.
• Ability to analyze performance across verticals, categories, retailers and content types.

Responsibilities

• Support commerce and editorial teams in market selection for digital content.
• Write or edit 4-6 shopping content pieces weekly, ensuring copy meets brand standards and SEO/affiliate practices.
• Analyze traffic and conversion results to drive optimizations.
• Coordinate with freelancers (writers, photographers, videographers) for timely content.
• Coordinate with SEO and commerce teams to ensure content optimization.
• Manage product call-ins and reviews for editorial consideration.
• Identify AD-aligned categories for expansion through trends and competitive analysis.
• Partner with brands and retailers to identify content opportunities.
• Support AD’s sales and tentpole coverage around annual shopping moments.
• Pitch content and franchise ideas to editorial leads.
• Additional duties as required by management.
