Job summary

Footbridge Federal seeks a seasoned network engineer to design and implement secure network infrastructure for defense and intelligence missions. You will lead deployments, create templates and training materials, and guide teams through modernized solutions on-site.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, DoD 8140 Level II compliance, and extensive experience with command/telemetry hardware. You will interact with customers to tailor systems to mission needs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph is required.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliance (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Experience with command and telemetry hardware solutions, especially packet and data buffers.
• Solid understanding of RS422/RS533 electrical specs and cabling.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, VRF, VLAN, and NTP routing/switching.
• Education/Experience equivalent to: HS+16y, AA+14y, BA+12y, MS+10y, PhD+8y.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement network infrastructure requirements (routers, switches, BGP, VRF, VLAN, NTP).
• Provide technical direction for command and telemetry solutions using specialized hardware.
• Develop installation plans, deployment templates, and training materials for service teams.
• Facilitate transition from legacy network designs to modernized solutions.
• Assess customer requirements and address technical inquiries.
