Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Network Engineer for a DoD program in Chantilly, VA to design and implement advanced command and telemetry network solutions. The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph and DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 compliance, with 10+ years of combined experience or education.

Responsibilities include planning, designing, and implementing WAN/LAN/CAN networks, providing lifecycle support, and producing installation plans and training materials.

Qualifications

• Clearance and DoD IAT Level 2 compliance required.
• Experience with KRATOS T500MX-XC or ARKA P&DBs or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of network design and lifecycle support.
• Understanding of RS422 serial communications and electrical specs.

Requirements

• Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph


• Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education


• Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2


• Experience/education alternatives: Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years, or HS diploma and 10 years


• Technical expertise with KRATOS T500MX-XC or ARKA P&DBs (Packet & Data Buffers), or basic Linux system administration understanding


• Understanding of low speed RS422 serial communications, including RS533 electrical specifications and cabling


• Network infrastructure knowledge including routers, switches, BGP, VRF, VLAN, and NTP


• Ability to work onsite at the government customer site in Chantilly, VA at least 5 days per week


• No relocation offered
