Job summary

NewGen Technologies in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Command & Telemetry Network Engineer to design and implement government network solutions across WAN/LAN/CAN and related infrastructure.

The role requires top security clearance and senior-level experience with network architectures, BGP, VRF, VLAN, and NTP, plus the ability to collaborate across engineering teams.

Applicants must hold TS/SCI CI Poly and compliance with DoD 8140 IAT2; familiarity with KRATOS T500MX-XC or ARKA PDB is a plus.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI CI Poly Clearance.
• 10 years of experience in network engineering for DoD or government networks.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support the technical assessment and delivery of a specific technical network solution to the customer.
• Provide a key support role in operating as a conducive high-performance team across all lifecycle stages.
• Provide technical direction and engineering expertise for Command and Telemetry solutions using KRATOS T500MX-XC or ARKA P&DB's (Packet & Data Buffers); basic sysadmin understanding of Linux is acceptable.
• An understanding of low speed RS422 serial communications including RS533 electrical specifications and cabling.
• Provide technical direction and engineering expertise for network systems infrastructure activities, including planning, designing, and implementing communications and network infrastructure requirements for buildings and systems (Routers, Switches, BGP, VRF, VLAN, NTP).
• Generate installation plans, procedures, templates, and training documentation for deploy of Command and Telemetry solutions.
• Perform transitions from existing to new network design solutions.
• Provide technical consulting and advice on design, system management, tuning and modification of solutions.
• Collect data from sources to determine customer needs and requirements.
• Respond to requests for technical information from customers.
• Develop customer technology solutions using various industry products and technologies.

NewGen Technologies has an opening forThe Command & Telemetry (C&T) Network Engineer.The C&T Network Engineeris a technical role which includes solution and design engineering functions for government passive and active network infrastructures. The candidate will be responsible for C&T Network Engineering and supporting other engineering teams for all network design and engineering activities. These engineering activities will be conducted on the government’s wide area networks (WAN), the local area networks (LAN), Campus Area Networks (CAN), Access and Control Interfaces (CI), Command and Telemetry and other networks that support multiple classification levels of communications.

• Regularly supportthe technical assessment and delivery of a specific technical network solution to the customer
• Providea key support role in operating as a conducive high-performance team across all lifecycle stages
