Job Summary
Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications. Analyzes, tests, and assists with the integration of new applications. Oversees documentation of all development activity. Trains non-technical personnel. Assists with tracking performance metrics. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex environment. May lead teams or projects and share expertise.
Core Responsibilities
- This hands-on software development role requires technical expertise, active coding, and a focus on secure, reliable software. Collaborates with stakeholders to identify requirements and conduct analysis for integration needs.
- Develops and designs software for Cyber Security applications, supports ongoing applications, and customizes current solutions. Assists with software updates and release rollouts.
- Participates in training staff on internally developed software applications.
- Researches, writes, and edits documentation including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, manuals, and reports.
- Works with QA to ensure applications meet specifications and requirements.
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies and application of concepts in the specialty.
- Presents and defends architectural, design, and technical decisions to internal audiences.
- Exercises independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- 8+ years of Java and Spring Framework development, creating secure APIs and web applications on AWS using Serverless architecture.
- 2+ years supporting large-scale, highly available applications in production.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, and Aurora.
- Proficient in writing clean, maintainable, efficient code and creating reusable libraries.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and rapid development.
- Knowledge of source control systems (GitHub) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Concourse).
- Ability to communicate technical material to varied audiences.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Java Cryptography Extensions, OpenSSL, OIDC, SAML, OAuth2.
- Knowledge of x509, PKI, JWT, cryptographic algorithms (ECC, RSA).
- AWS Certified Developer or DevOps Certification.
- Spring Certified Professional.
- Experience with Angular and NodeJS development.
