Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking Combo Welders at Level 1, 2, and 3 for positions in the Baton Rouge, LA area. You will lay out, fit, and weld fabricated components to construct tanks, vessels, pipe, and structural parts.

Essential qualifications include a high school diploma, welding certification, and 1–4 years of experience. You must pass a weld test and follow all safety policies. Equal opportunity employer; mock-ups and job-site PPE are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–4 years welding experience in relevant skill.
• Able to pass a weld test before hire.
• Certified welder.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Must comply with safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly and welding; lays out, positions, aligns and fits components for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts; may assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
• Welds pipe such as carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome, etc. by arc, heliarc, gas, MIG, TIG."
• Repairs assemblies by dismantling, reshaping and reassembling parts; may cut materials with a torch and demo existing assemblies.
• Ensure quality and safety in all welding tasks.
