Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking a Combo Welder for a maintenance position in the Lake Charles, LA area. The role involves laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated components to assemble tanks, vessels and structural parts on a non-exempt maintenance crew.

Candidate must have at least four years of welding experience, be certified, pass a weld test, and complete a pre-employment qualification test with drug screening. Safety gear and PPE are required on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of welding experience.
• Must pass weld test and be certified as a welder.
• Pre-employment qualification test required; drug/alcohol screen.
• Site safety requirements must be followed (PPE, etc.).
• Physical ability to lift 30–50 pounds; climbing and bending as needed.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fit, weld parts and assemblies per procedures.
• Weld pipe, structural components, tanks and vessels using arc, MIG, TIG processes.
• Operate cutting torch and assemble parts by bolting/riveting as needed.
• Inspect welds for quality and ensure compliance with client specs.
• Maintain safe work practices and support team on site.
