TIC - The Industrial Company in Greenville, MS is seeking a skilled pipe welder to plan, lay out, weld, install, test and repair pipe and tubular products in accordance with plans, codes and standards.

The role requires high safety standards, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and willingness to overtime or weekend shifts as needed. You will coordinate with field crews and ensure fabrication aligns with project specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with related field experience.
• Strong ability to understand, follow and communicate written and oral instructions with supervision.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical, hand and power tools, layout and measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, diagram and lay-out for pipe welder's work.
• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations.
• Position the weld setup, fit the piping and perform welds with high precision.
• Lay-out and assemble pipes according to production standards, quality requirements, safety rules, codes and specs.
• Make welding repairs and correct substandard welds.
• Assist with coordination of pre-fabrication layout or installation.
• Assist with rigging of material.
• Operate air arc gouger, grinder, stress relieving machine and other industry tools and equipment.
• Estimate sizes, distances and quantities and determine time, costs, materials needed.
• Inspect subordinate's work for compliance and take corrective action.
