Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an experienced Structural Welder to join our craft team on industrial construction projects. You will plan, lay out, weld, install and repair pipe and tubular components in accordance with plans, codes, and standards, using hand tools and welding equipment.

Responsibilities include welding in all positions, interpreting drawings, and ensuring quality while following safety procedures. A minimum of four years of pipe welding experience and OCI Project Welding certification

Qualifications

• At least four years of pipe welding experience or equivalent in an industrial construction setting.
• Must pass welding tests on multiple procedures and welding codes.
• Project welding certificate through OCI Quality.
• All applicants must complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR).

Responsibilities

• Welds and installs structural steel components per plans and specs.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
• Set up machines and adjust gas flow and pressure for proper flames.
• Read and understand plans and specifications, including drawings and prints.
• Maintain safety and quality standards on site and coordinate with teams.
