Job summary

GrayWolf is seeking Combo Pipe Welders for our Cameron, LA job site. You will lay out, position, align and weld piping systems and related components according to blueprints and work orders.

Weld in all positions and read prints while maintaining safety and accuracy. Must pass weld tests and meet pre-hire requirements; OSHA 10 and AWS certifications are preferred. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work up to long shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of pipe combo welding in an industrial construction setting.
• OSHA 10 preferred.
• AWS certification preferred.
• Must have locking toolbox and tools necessary to perform the job.
• This assignment is 100% x-ray inspection of welds.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly and weld metal components as specified.
• Read and interpret prints and plans to guide welding work.
• Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Use hand, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools safely.
• Demonstrate construction math competency as required by trade practice.
