Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Teardown Engineer to lead the Combo analytical teardown process, from failure analysis to corrective actions. You will engage with shop operations to deepen process understanding and improve quality and reliability across remanufacturing.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams, applying structured problem‑solving and data insights to prevent recurrences and enhance customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical field with a minimum of 2 years in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Reliability, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• OR Associate Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related field with minimum 5 years in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Reliability, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
• Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and root cause analysis in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and execute all aspects of the Combo analytical teardown process.
• Translate failure analysis findings into corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to drive improvements.
• Interact with customers during joint teardowns and support investigations.
• Ensure teardown activities comply with EHS requirements.
