Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a Combined Cycle Operator I, II, or III for the Bartow, Florida power station. The role focuses on safe and efficient operation of HRSGs and balance of plant equipment on a rotating shift.

The successful candidate will progress through the RREF Development Program, gaining competency across electrical, instrumentation and controls, and mechanical maintenance tasks, with call-out responsibilities and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• A journeyman operator level skill.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and I&C problems.
• Must be fully competent in power station operations.
• Must understand thermodynamics principles.
• Strong knowledge of water chemistry functions and applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and operate generating units on a rotating shift.
• Maintain water chemistry sampling, analysis, and related calibrations.
• Complete the RREF Development Program and progress to CCO III.
