LOCATION: This role is a traveling position. You may work on various project sites across the US. Per diem will be provided for those willing to travel and work onsite.

About The Job

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Welder to perform welding tasks on piping and plate within petroleum operations facilities. Responsibilities include welding, fit-up, preparation, repair, inspection, post weld preparation, and general site work such as loading/unloading, site cleanup, mobilization, scaffolding, and tank construction.

Job Functions

  1. Follow welding procedure specifications when welding
  2. Perform quality welds able to pass radiographic examination
  3. Perform quality welds using various processes such as TIG, GMAW, SMAW, FCAW on carbon and stainless steel
  4. Produce quality welds efficiently
  5. Assist with fit-up, preparation, inspection, and repair of welds
  6. Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman regarding issues
  7. Determine tools, materials, and welding methods based on project specs
  8. Assemble, install, and repair pipe components and systems
  9. Inspect materials, equipment, and tools
  10. Maintain supplies, equipment, and tools
  11. Prepare materials for welding
  12. Examine completed welds for defects
  13. Assist pipefitter with weld maps
  14. Observe all safety regulations

What We're Looking For

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 4 years of relevant welding experience
  • Experience as a pipe welder
  • Minimum 2 years in aboveground tank construction/repair industry
  • Ability to pass
