Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a senior Training Specialist for Officer Training SME to support Aegis Command & Decision training at the Dahlgren, VA center. The role focuses on delivering complex technical and tactical training for sailors in courses at the ATRC.

The position requires five years of related training experience, Navy system expertise, and the ability to conduct both classroom and lab instruction. Secret clearance is required and travel up to 10% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or military experience.
• Five (5) years of experience with the required system or process in a master level training environment.
• Experience as a Warfare Commander/Coordinator for Air, Surface, Subsurface, Strike, C4I, or Ballistic Missile Defense is required.

Responsibilities

• Instructs sailors in traditional classroom settings and supports tactical lab training.
• Delivers and assesses moderately complex Aegis training programs and materials.
• Develops, tests, maintains, and delivers curriculum and instructor guides for ATRC training objectives.
• Provides expert instruction on Aegis Combat System and related weapons systems to officers.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.
