Job summary

VTG seeks a Mid to Senior Systems Engineer (CPS) to provide engineering support for the Navy's CPS program at the Washington Navy Yard, DC. Onsite with occasional telework, supporting multiple engineering disciplines across Electrical, Mechanical, Navigation, and Flight Software systems.

The role emphasizes design studies, risk assessment, documentation reviews, and coordination with Government teams and the Navy.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Secret level clearance and US citizenship.
• Experience with systems engineering for defense programs preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required.
• Requires ability to sustain clearance.
• Engineering degrees or equivalent experience depending on level.

Responsibilities

• Design studies and evaluations for R&D, production and operations.
• Provide technical advice on CPS program submissions and documentation.
• Support CPS program engineering for complex systems and interfaces.
• Perform risk assessments using modeling and simulation techniques.
• Prepare presentations and papers for design reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate with Government teams and Navy/Army program offices as required.
• Identify and mitigate risks, track issues, and support transitions to production.
