Job summary

The Lake Doctors, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager in Columbus, OH who enjoys fieldwork, communicates well with customers, and uses strong math skills to drive growth in aquatic management services and fountain products.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in sales within the aquatic/landscape industry, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a proactive, creative approach to acquiring new business. Travel is around 25% with on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Two+ years in aquatic/landscape/pest control or service industry preferred.
• Two+ years of sales experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Science background preferred (chemistry, biology).

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion.
• Make contact with new or potential customers to provide options and make expert recommendations for services and products.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
• Market assessment-targeting local sales marketing efforts via promotions and networking.
• Assist in determining pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
• Set-up Proposal Agreements based on input from customer interactions, including negotiation of prices and terms.
• Understand pricing guidelines while meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Maintain contact lists and follow up with existing customers to sustain relationships and renewals.
• Communicate updates and provide all contact information to ensure customer needs are met.
• Advocate and network with officials and industry groups to promote training and staff development.
• Keep abreast of new developments, products and equipment related to services.
• Collaborate with colleagues on larger projects, quotas, and contract agreements.
• Work with field management to coordinate upcoming job activities and solve issues.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports showing impact of strategies.
• Represent The Lake Doctors professionally to a diverse customer base.
