Glanbia Nutritionals, Inc. is seeking a Production Assistant at our Brookings, SD facility to handle incoming raw colostrum, inspect and process it according to our production schedule, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment. The role includes forklift operation, quality checks, and assisting with bottling and labeling as needed.

You will be part of a team that emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency, ensuring product is stored correctly and ready for the next steps in production.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of production processes is required.
• Safety and sanitization knowledge is required.
• Ability to stay focused on tasks and follow instructions.
• General knowledge of machines and production lines.
• Previous production skills and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive raw colostrum shipments into the facility.
• Inspect incoming trucks and confirm temperature readings.
• Unload colostrum into freezer and rotate stock.
• Stage colostrum pails for thawing for next day’s batch.
• Quality inspect thawed colostrum and reject substandard containers.
• Pour colostrum into vat for heating and pooling.
• Clean and prepare pails and lids for shipment back to field.
• Minimize product loss and waste.
• Operate forklift to move product within the plant.
• Maintain a clean working environment at all times.
• Promote safety standards and collaborate with Sterling Technology.
• Perform other duties such as bottling and labeling when needed.
