Job summary

Rockwood R-6 School District in Wildwood, Missouri, seeks a Colorguard Choreography/Clinician for the 2026-27 school year. Start date July 20, 2026. A stipend is provided for Rockwood R-6 staff or an hourly rate for non-staff.

The coach will mentor students, plan training, organize competitions, collaborate with administration, and promote sportsmanship and personal growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Has knowledge and experience in the sport or activity.
• Must possess leadership skills and be able to set an example for the players.
• Effective communication skills to inspire players and work with them on improvement.
• Must be available to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends, and be prepared to travel with the team to different locations for competitions.
• (Head Coaches) Must be willing to provide off season training and practice following MSHSAA Guidelines

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of students during all aspects of program
• Develop training programs, provide instruction and feedback
• Foster team cohesion
• Plan competitions and contests, including out of season activities
• Collaborate with school administration
• Ensure compliance with regulations
• Promote sportsmanship and character development in an encouraging and inclusive environment
• Proactively communicate schedules and information to parents and administration
• Coaches and sponsors must adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in District Form 5002 Code of Conduct- Coaches, Sponsors, and Chaperones
