An established industry player is seeking a dedicated physician for its new Colorectal Surgery position, driven by the growth of its Oncology Service Line. This role involves direct patient care, surgical procedures, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient health outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a Doctor of Medicine degree and have completed a residency in General Surgery, with board certification in Colorectal Surgery. Responsible for direct patient care by reviewing patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Provides education, consultation or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families.
Allina Health is opening this new Colorectal Surgery position due to the growth of the Oncology Service Line and surgical volume. Locations: Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Mercy Hospital and ASCs. Expected call rotation: You will participate in surgical oncology or general surgery call (1 in 4).
Schedule: 5 8's / wk
Clinic / OR blend: 2 days clinic, 1 day OR, and either day scopes + day of OR or full day scopes. 1 day for admin.
Cases include: Colorectal cancer and benign, screening colonoscopy, diagnostic endoscopy.
Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally
Pay Range: $430,000 to $475,000 per year
The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
