Job summary

Thomas MacLaren School in Colorado Springs is seeking a licensed Special Education teacher to oversee caseloads and ensure access to the curriculum for students with disabilities. You will work with the Heads of School and staff to implement IEPs and provide instruction in various settings.

You will plan instruction, monitor progress, and maintain records while contributing to a supportive learning community and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Special Education Teacher in the state of Colorado.
• Demonstrated ability to serve well as a Thomas MacLaren teacher.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement instructional programs and activities to meet the school's goals.
• Confer with parents and staff regarding student progress.
• Develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Teach and mentor students individually, in small groups, and in class.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic achievement.
• Create and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.
