Job description

As a Color Lab Technician, you will prepare color samples for evaluation and formulation to support the Refinish Color Matching team. Reporting directly to the Color Lab Supervisor at our Delaware, Ohio Plant, your primary responsibilities include mixing wet paint, reducing/spraying paint samples, and general prep and cleanup of lab areas.

This is a 2nd shift position with a schedule of 2:00pm-10:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mix and spray paint samples to meet production demands.
2. Obtain color formulations from the Color Matcher and prepare sample mixtures based on provided formulations/recipes.
3. Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of paint samples.
4. Collect wet paint samples and spray according to predefined specifications.
5. Maintain laboratory equipment in clean condition. PPE includes safety shoes (steel toe); all other PPE will be supplied. The contractor must be fitted for a respirator and be clean-shaven on the first day.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. At least 1 year of lab experience.
