Job summary

Gull Lake Community Schools is seeking a High School Band Color Guard Instructor to lead and develop the program. The role requires instructing all color guard aspects including dance, rifle, props staging and blocking, and coordinating performances with the team.

Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills are essential. Saturday commitments are required, with a focus on mentoring high school students in a positive, safe environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Teach all areas of color guard and equipment (dance, rifle, props staging and blocking).
• Plan and conduct practices and performances.

Qualifications:

1. Prefer certified teacher from the Gull Lake Community Schools


2. One season of collegiate color guard experience preferred


3. Previous choreographer and/or equipment technician experience preferred


4. Proficient in teaching all areas of color guard and color guard equipment such as dance, rifle, props staging and blocking


5. Saturday commitment is required


6. Must demonstrate patience and attention to detail


7. Demonstrated successful experiences working with high school students


8. Prefer academic coursework beyond High School level


9. Professional in personal conduct and actions


10. Excellent communication and organizational skills
