Job summary

Intercos Group is seeking a Lab Technician, Color Development in Congers, NY. You will collaborate with chemists and clients to create and customize color shades, manage lab operations, and maintain the color library.

You will validate formulas, coordinate with worldwide laboratories, and ensure smooth transfer to production, while documenting activities and presenting updates to leadership. Required are a related science degree, 1–3 years in color cosmetics formulation, strong color perception,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in chemistry or related field.
• Strong color perception and shade-matching capabilities.
• Foundational formulation skills across color cosmetics technologies.
• Knowledge of pigments and FDA/global guidelines.
• 1–3 years in color cosmetics formulation.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new color shades and customize formulations with chemists and clients.
• Participate in shade-matching sessions and assist in formula customization.
• Organize laboratory operations and manage raw materials.
• Maintain the color library and adjust formulations per client feedback.
• Coordinate tests with global laboratories and transfer formulas to production.
• Document weekly activities and present updates to management.
• Utilize Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data and presentations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and global labs.
