Job summary

Mankiewicz Coatings LLC is hiring a Colorimetric Associate to join our Charleston, SC team. The role focuses on preparing, testing and supporting color samples and shades for product formulations, with emphasis on achieving precise color matches using established formulas and tools.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED and/or relevant job function experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.

Responsibilities

• Mix and match paints and coatings based on formulas, samples, and customer request.
• Prepare and test color technologies and methods, determine degree of color match, make adjustments.
• Create custom color samples.
• Update database of color formulas and information to locate and modify mixtures.
• Review preliminary mixtures with desired product color, texture, and finish and adjust as needed.
• Complete forms and documentation regarding color mixing tasks and results; receive direction when required.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment per 5S principles.
