Job summary

Altra is seeking a Color Designer II to join its Footwear Design team in Denver. The role leads seasonal color design across the footwear line, partnering with Design, Product, Merchandising and Development to bring the brand’s creative vision to life through color.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of experience, deep color theory knowledge, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. You will build color palettes, develop CADs and tech packs, research trends, and present concepts to internal

• 3–4 years of professional color design experience.
• Strong understanding of color theory and how it translates to footwear.
• Ability to translate narratives onto product and present concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in seasonal color palette building.
• Translate Brand’s Creative Vision into color executions on footwear.
• Collect and translate trend information into tangible designs.
• Create color CADs and detailed tech packs to factory standards.
• Deliver compelling color proposals with internal presentations.
• Plan color details and ensure timely completion per calendar.
