Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC in Evansville, IN is seeking a production operator to support pigment production and material handling in a fast‑paced facility.

The role requires physical endurance, the ability to lift 50 lb loads, work in dusty environments, and follow safety protocols. You may climb ladders, work in extreme temperatures, and communicate via radio to coordinate with team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds at least ~15 times per 8-hour shift.
  • Work independently in a potentially isolated area.
  • Color vision within normal limits (Ishihara).
  • Dusty environment tolerance.
  • Work at heights with/without fall protection; avoid risk of fainting.
  • Able to climb ladders safely up to 5 times per day.
  • Verbal communication to use radio/paging system.
  • Work in extreme heat/cold.
  • Use both hands for tools/parts.
  • Visual acuity 20/50; read 10-12 point font at 12-18 inches.
  • Stand/walk 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

  • Make pigment for daily use and for large orders.
  • Retrieve resin or concentrate for blending.
  • Ensure resin is blown and material available; prevent downtime.
  • Keep materials off ground and away from drains.
  • Lock and cap lines outside the fence when not in use.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by group leader.

Responsibilities
  • Make pigment used each day Make pigment need for large orders Extrusion.
  • Bring Gaylord's of resin or concentrate needed in blending.
  • Blow resin to insure no Machines set down for lack of Material
  • Make sure material is kept off the ground and clear from drains
  • All lines outside the fence capped and locked when not in use
  • Any additional tasks assigned by group leader
Qualifications
  • 1. High school diploma / GED equivalent.
  • 2. Ability to lift 50 pounds at a minimum of approximately 15 times per 8-hour day.
  • 3. Ability to work independently in a potentially isolated area of the building.
  • 4. Color vision within normal limits (according to Ishihara Screen)
  • 5. Ability to work in a dusty environment.
  • 6. Ability to work at heights (with or without fall protection). Must not be at risk of sudden alterations in consciousness.
  • 7. Able to climb ladders safely and without assistance for a minimum of 5 times per day
  • 8. Verbal communication adequate to use a radio and or paging system to connect other co-workers in other areas of the complex.
  • 9. Able to work in extremes of heat/cold.
  • 10. Able to use both hands for effective manipulation of tools/parts.
  • 11. Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10-12 point font at a distance 12-18 inches
  • 12. Ability to stand /walk 7 hours of an 8-hour shift.
