Colwyn Group in Union, SC, on-site, is seeking a Color Chemist I to join its specialty colorant team. You will perform bench formulation, color matching, and material evaluation for diverse applications.

The role emphasizes analytical testing, quality control, documentation, and safety compliance, with opportunities to support scale-up to production. A chemistry-related degree and up to 3 years of lab experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field required.
• 0–3 years lab experience with colorants or related chemicals preferred.
• Authoring lab notebooks and SOPs with clear technical writing.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, match, and optimize color shades for materials.
• Perform standard wet chemistry tests and instrument-based analyses.
• Collaborate to scale lab formulations to pilot and full-scale batches.
• Maintain lab records and generate technical reports for teams.
• Ensure laboratory safety and compliance with ISO standards.
