Loyola University Chicago (LUC) Stritch School of Medicine Department of Surgery is seeking a Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join its team with a dual appointment at Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) and the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital.
The clinical program at Loyola is comprehensive, including treatment of benign and malignant colorectal disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, anorectal conditions, and functional disorders. The role involves collaboration with oncologists, urogynecologists, gynecologic oncologists, and gastroenterologists. Competence with laparoscopy and robotic surgery is expected, with an interest in endoscopy also desirable.
The program includes participation in multidisciplinary teams focused on pelvic floor disorders and GI oncology. Candidates should be board certified or eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery and General Surgery, demonstrating dedication to clinical excellence, teaching, scholarly activity, and institutional service. Teaching and mentoring residents are essential, and clinical research is strongly encouraged.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience, at the assistant or associate professor levels. Leadership opportunities within the division may be available for suitable candidates.
