Ideal Auto Group is a fast-growing automotive organization with multiple dealerships and collision repair centers in the Northeast. We seek a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage daily financial operations for our high-volume collision repair shop, ensuring accurate reporting, insurance payment tracking, and smooth day-to-day accounting.

The role collaborates with the shop manager on cost control and KPI tracking, offering growth within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years bookkeeping experience, preferably in collision shop/dealership.
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing & claims process.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, or DMS systems.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle high-volume transactions and maintain accuracy.
• Bilingual Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping for collision operations (ROs, parts, labor).
• Reconcile repair orders (ROs) vs. payments (insurance, customer, warranty).
• Post and track insurance receivables (DRP & non-DRP).
• Monitor parts invoices and vendor payables.
• Process payroll support for technicians (flag hours, commissions).
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries.
• Assist with the month-end close and financial reporting.
• Track supplements, write-offs, and gross profit per RO.
• Work with shop manager on cost control and KPI tracking.
