Classic Collision in Norfolk, VA is seeking a detail-oriented Collision Repair Technician to join our team. The role involves disassembling vehicles, identifying repairs, and executing bodywork using welding and hand tools in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years' collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicles to assist estimators in assessing damage and planning repairs.
• Ensure all needed repairs are identified to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedures following work orders.
• Remove upholstery, electrical components, and other parts to access damaged areas.
• Repair or replace damaged body parts and weld/reposition parts as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools including welders and cutting torches.
• Finish surfaces before handing vehicle to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
