Job summary

Ferman Automotive Group is seeking a Body Shop Estimator to inspect damaged vehicles, prepare precise repair estimates, and coordinate with guests, insurers, and technicians throughout the collision repair process. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, guest-focused, and knowledgeable about collision repair estimating and insurance procedures.

2–5 years of relevant experience and familiarity with estimating software are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair needs per industry standards.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using approved estimating systems.
• Communicate repair options, timelines, and insurance processes to guests.
• Coordinate with insurance adjusters for approvals and supplements.
• Review and adjust repair plans based on new findings.
• Collaborate with technicians to ensure repair accuracy and efficiency.
• Document all damage with notes and photos.
• Maintain compliance with OEM procedures, insurance guidelines, and dealership policies.
• Monitor repair progress and update customers throughout the process.
• Ensure repair orders, invoices, and docs are complete and accurate.
• Support cycle time goals, profitability targets, and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain relationships with insurance partners and dealership staff.
