Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Crystal Lake, IL is seeking a Production Assistant to support the GM by ensuring materials for repairs are available to technicians and by participating in repair plan meetings and huddles. The role focuses on keeping parts flow, dashboards, and production on track across disassembly, staging, and sublet coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
• Up to 2 years Experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Oversees major disassembly for repair planning and production staging.
• Parts oversight: ensure parts are received, stored, dispatched and credited correctly.
• Proactive communication with techs and GM about plan changes.
• Facilitates optimal use of collision center and equipment.
• Moves vehicles through production and to sublet work as needed.
• Coordinates with metal/paint departments for smooth workflow.
• Maintains preventative maintenance for equipment and tools.
• Directs porters and detailers to ensure timely detailing.
