Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring a Production Assistant to support the GM by ensuring repair materials and parts are available for technicians, participating in final repair plan meetings and daily huddles. You’ll help keep dashboards current and incidents communicated promptly.

The role requires a high school diploma, up to 2 years in a collision repair environment, and the ability to handle multiple priorities with a strong service mindset. A valid driver's license is also required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of the repair process.
• Service orientation.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is executed consistently.
• Oversee major disassembly for repair planning and scheduling.
• Oversee parts handling: receiving, storing, dispatching to technicians.
• Keep techs and GM informed of changes in repair plans.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and stalls are available for active vehicles.
• Move vehicles between departments as they progress through production.
• Coordinate sublet work and communicate scheduling with front office.
• Facilitate metal/paint department communications for prep and reassembly.
• Maintain preventive maintenance for collision center tools and equipment.
• Direct porters and detailers to ensure timely detailing of completed vehicles.
