Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter to support vehicle preparation and site housekeeping. You will clean customer vehicles before delivery and maintain the cleanliness of shop and office areas, including parking lots and production spaces.

Responsibilities include pre-washes, post-repair cleanup, and light transportation of vehicles to sublet locations. High school diploma preferred; automotive experience helpful; 18+ with valid driver's license.

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan in daily operations.
• Maintain interior office and production area cleanliness including waste disposal.
• Pre-washes and post-repair cleaning of customer vehicles.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations as needed.
• Maintain neat parking lots and grounds and perform basic maintenance tasks.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver’s license
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Details:

$12 - $20 / Hour

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
