Job summary

AutoNation in Waco, TX is seeking a Collision Parts Coordinator to support collision technicians and estimators. You will source the correct parts, distribute them to body technicians, and ensure accurate billing and part labeling for smooth repairs.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts, returning unused items, coordinating with vendors, and aligning delivery times with technician estimates. A high school diploma and 2 years of parts experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Two years of previous parts experience.
• 10-Key and/or Alpha-Numeric data entry skills; ability to use a computer for parts entry and linking numbers in the accounting system.
• Read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist collision center estimators with acquiring correct parts for in-process vehicles.
• Distribute parts to body technicians to speed workflow.
• Ensure parts are charged and linked to the collision management system for billing.
• Inspect each received part for accuracy and damage.
• Return unused parts within 30 days of receipt.
• Coordinate special and/or emergency orders with Collision Manager.
• Coordinate sublet vendors and services to speed workflow.
• Label all parts with RO #, technician and estimator names.
• Record time requirements from technicians and estimators to meet delivery timeframes.

The Collision Parts Coordinator assists the collision technicians and estimators, to ensure the correct parts are sourced and distributed for vehicles under repair at the collision center.What are the day-to-day responsibilities?Assist the collision center estimators with acquiring the required and correct parts for the work in process vehiclesAssists in the distribution of parts to the body technician to expedite work flowEnsure that all parts are charged and linked to the collision management system (profit Net) for billing in the accounting systemResponsible for inspecting each part received for accuracy and damageResponsible for returning all unused parts within 30 days of receipt.
