Job summary

BodyWorks by Murray Motors / BMW of Denver Downtown is seeking a skilled Collision Mechanic to service and repair collision-damaged vehicles in a fast-paced shop in Denver. The role focuses on accurate mechanical and electrical repairs following manufacturer specifications with strong attention to quality.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of body shop experience, solid diagnostic skills, and the ability to work with diagnostic tools while maintaining high safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional automotive technician experience, collision/body shop preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.
• Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
• ASE or I-CAR certifications are preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, brakes, and drivetrain on collision-damaged vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for hidden mechanical damage and identify additional repairs needed.
• Remove, replace, and reinstall mechanical components as required for collision repairs.
• Perform diagnostic testing using scan tools and other automotive equipment.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and dealership quality and safety standards.
• Document completed repairs and communicate needs to Body Shop Manager or team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while completing repairs.
