Job summary

Camping World seeks a Collision/Body Technician (Flat Rate) to join our team. You will diagnose, select repair methods, and execute body/paint work on RVs, while tracking parts and maintaining a safe, high-quality work area.

Experience in body/paint repair with access to repair equipment is preferred. RVIA certs help but are not required, and a valid driver’s license is needed. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Certification from college or technical school in trade field is helpful but experience can count.
  • Minimum of 1-year service technician experience or related fields preferred.
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required, and a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and document complete diagnostics for repairing recreational vehicle equipment and structures.
  • Determine best product for repair.
  • Customize and repair RV in accordance with work orders.
  • Execute work orders.
  • Perform body and paint repair.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Keep supervisor apprised of work progress.
  • Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.
  • Follow Safety and Hazardous Waste procedures as outlined.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned and performs duties at company established performance levels.

Job description

Camping World is seeking a Collision/Body Technician (Flat Rate) to join our growing team. A successful Collision/Body Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated, background in body/paint repair and well-versed in all paint and body repair equipment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide and document complete diagnostics for repairing recreational vehicle equipment and structures.
  • Determine best product for repair.
  • Customize and repair RV in accordance with work orders.
  • Execute work orders.
  • Perform body and paint repair.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Keep supervisor appraised of work progress.
  • Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers.

What You’ll Need to Have for the Role:
  • Certification from college or technical school in trade field (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance, etc.) is certainly helpful but, we also consider applicable work experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year service technician experience or related fields preferred.
  • RVIA certification helpful but not required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crawling, and bending.
  • Potential exposure to heights and hazards related to working with electrical and welding equipment.
  • Environmental conditions include heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and wetness.

Pay Range: $23.68-$53.94 Hourly
