Job summary

Quality Collision Group LLC in Watsonville, CA is seeking a Blueprint Technician to perform detailed vehicle teardowns and damage analysis to create complete repair plans before production begins.

You will identify labor, parts, procedures, and documentation to keep repairs efficient and aligned with OEM procedures and insurer requirements, supporting high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of collision repair, blueprinting, or auto body experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of vehicle disassembly and damage identification.
• Familiarity with OEM repair procedures and insurer documentation standards.
• Experience with CCC ONE or similar software.
• Strong mechanical understanding of vehicle systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough vehicle teardown and inspection to identify collision damage.
• Document and photograph damage for repair orders and insurance requirements.
• Create complete repair plans using OEM procedures and approved estimating practices.
• Identify required parts, labor operations, and repair procedures.
• Communicate repair plans with estimators, production managers, and technicians.
• Update blueprints when additional damage is discovered.
• Verify repair plans support safe, complete repairs.
• Help reduce supplements and delays by identifying needs early.

Job Summary The Blueprint Technician performs detailed vehicle disassembly and damage analysis to create a complete repair plan before production begins. This role identifies required labor, parts, procedures, and documentation so repairs can move efficiently with fewer delays and supplements. The Blueprint Technician partners with estimators, parts, technicians, and production leadership to ensure each repair plan aligns with OEM procedures, insurer requirements, and collision industry standards.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Perform thorough vehicle teardown and inspection to identify visible and hidden collision damage.
• Document and photograph damage for repair orders, estimates, supplements, and insurance requirements.
• Create complete repair plans or blueprints using OEM procedures and approved estimating practices.
• Identify required parts, labor operations, sublets, calibrations, and repair procedures.
• Communicate repair plans with estimators, production managers, parts staff, and technicians.
• Update blueprints when additional damage or repair requirements are discovered.
• Verify that repair plans support safe, complete, and efficient repairs.
• Help reduce supplements and production delays by identifying repair needs early in the process.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
