Gerber Collision & Glass in Estero, FL is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repair and quality workmanship. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, aligning with the team to meet KPIs and uphold the brand promise of speed and excellence.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical program or 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare customer cost estimates.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, pliers to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers when needed.
• Realign chassis and repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts.
• Replace or repair glass, interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; prepare and repaint vehicles to spec.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
