Jefferson Health is seeking an Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in managing an NCAA sport program, contributing to recruiting, training sessions, and mentoring student-athletes for success in competition, academics, and personal development.

Qualifications

• Education - Required: High School Diploma/GED.
• Experience - Required: Less than 1 year Collegiate Coaching or playing experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Head Coach in developing, implementing, and executing all aspects of the sport program, including training plans, competitive strategies, and student-athlete development initiatives, while promoting a coaching philosophy.
• Collaborates with the Head Coach to identify, evaluate, recruit, and retain qualified student-athletes who demonstrate strong academic performance, athletic ability, and character.
• Contributes to a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture by promoting sportsmanship, leadership, accountability, and holistic student-athlete well-being.
• Assists with day-to-day program operations, including travel coordination, equipment procurement and maintenance, and scheduling of practices and competitions to ensure efficient program functioning.
• Supports compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and standards, serves as a mentor and advocate for student-athletes, and promotes alignment with the university's mission, values, and strategic goals.
