Job summary

Frederick Community College in Frederick, MD, is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach to design and lead a comprehensive program for all sports. The role emphasizes performance improvement, injury reduction, and mentorship within a diverse campus community.

The successful candidate will collaborate with coaches and athletic trainers to implement preseason, in-season, and postseason development plans, monitor progress, and uphold a safe, well-equipped weight room environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science or Kinesiology.
Current Strength and Conditioning certification.
Current CPR/AED certification.
At least three years of coaching experience.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and schedule strength and conditioning programs for all sports.
Collaborate with sports medicine and athletic training to reduce injury risk and develop return-to-play plans.
Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, clean training space.
Track athlete attendance and progress with sport coaches.
Conduct annual needs analyses for teams and equipment.
Coordinate with campus programs to provide internships and work study opportunities.
Collaborate with diverse groups of student-athletes.
