Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, seeks an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to design and deliver physical programming for assigned sports teams, aiming to help student-athletes reach their potential while reducing injury risk.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years' experience, NSCA CSCS/CSCCa certification, and strong teamwork, organization, and communication. A Master's degree and collegiate experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2–3 years of experience.
• NSCA CSCS and/or CSCCa certification.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement holistic training program that meets the needs of the coach, team, and individual.
• Instruct athletes in optimal execution of exercises and ensure health and safety.
• Collaborate with campus partners and coaches to educate on best practices for healthy and sustainable performance.
• Select key performance indicators and administer assessments as part of the sports science program.
• Create, manage, and maintain a positive environment; enforce weight room policies.
• Commit to growth as a Sports Performance teammate and ambassador of the program.
• Perform other duties as assigned; occasional odd hours.
