Job summary

Daemen University in Amherst, NY is seeking a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach to coordinate instruction of student‑athletes in the area of strength & conditioning. You will plan workouts, supervise equipment, and motivate athletes to achieve performance and safety goals.

Work collaboratively with sports medicine staff and coaches to monitor programs, maintain training records (TrainHeroic), and uphold NCAA and conference guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Health or related field.
• Master’s degree and collegiate sports performance experience preferred.
• Certifications: NSCA-CSCS, CSCCA, CSCCa, SCCC and CPR/AED required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate instruction of student‑athletes in strength & conditioning.
• Plan workouts, supervise equipment use, and provide motivation.
• Monitor program effectiveness with coaches and Sports Medicine staff.
• Maintain training records and compliance with NCAA, ECC rules.
• Educate coaches and athletes on proper technique, progression, and safety.
